What are the symptoms of TMJ/TMD?
Temporomandibular joint disorder, known as TMJ or TMD, is a painful condition of the joint where your lower jaw hinges to your skull. Some of the symptoms typically associated with TMJ/TMD include:
- Ongoing headaches
- Clicking or popping in the joint
- Pain in your jaw, ears, face, neck, or shoulders
- Sticking or locking jaws
- Facial fatigue
- Swelling on the side of the face
