I have a tooth that has been extensively damaged by decay. What are my options?
Depending on the location of your tooth, the extent of the decay, and the condition of the surrounding teeth, you will have different options. If the tooth is currently infected, a root canal will stop the infection, protect neighboring teeth, and may save your tooth. Otherwise, we can put a crown on the tooth. This will save the tooth, improve its appearance, and prevent future damage. If the tooth is beyond repair, we can perform a simple extraction and replace the tooth with an implant.
